Our History
Welcome to Tri-City Pentecostals—a vibrant church family formed in 2023 through the union of Berwick United Pentecostal Church (est. 1953) and New Life Tabernacle of Morgan City (est. 1983). Rooted in a rich legacy and united by our love for Jesus and the Tri-City area, we are a multi-cultural, multi-generational church committed to prayer, the Word of God, and loving people.
Our Mission
At Tri-City Pentecostals, we believe healthy families form healthy churches, which in turn foster healthy communities. Join us as we strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels at home, where spiritual growth is paramount, and where outreach and service to our community are integral to our mission. Together, let's build a brighter future grounded in faith and fellowship.
Our Ministries
Our ministries, including vibrant children's, youth, Hispanic, and a recovery ministry, cater to diverse needs and ensure every member can grow in faith and service.
Kids Ministry
We believe in more than just entertaining our children—we believe they are the church of today. Because of their importance to us, we offer Kids Church, Kids Club, and a variety of activities and events throughout the year designed to help them grow in faith and community.
Ignite Youth
Our Youth Group is stronger than ever. Under the leadership of Youth Pastors Bruce and Kimberly Clifton, our young people are committed, faithful, and on fire for God. They are actively involved in Sunday School, Ignite Youth every Wednesday night, and participate in dynamic local and statewide events throughout the year.
Spanish Ministry
Over a decade ago, our former pastor, Rev. Terry Bunner, and his wife developed a deep burden for the Spanish-speaking community in our area. Out of that burden, a Spanish ministry was launched—one of the first of its kind in the Tri-City community. Today, that ministry continues to grow through our bilingual services, and we are blessed to have Rev. Oscar Serrano and his wife, Veronica, serving faithfully as our Spanish Pastors.
Rescue and Recovery
For many years, we recognized a deep need for a strong and life-giving recovery ministry in our area. Because of that burden, Rescue and Recovery was launched in 2021 under the leadership of Herbert Hatcher. With a powerful personal testimony of deliverance from addiction, Herbert understands firsthand how God can bring healing and freedom from hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Rescue and Recovery is based on the "Celebrate Recovery" model. They meet every Thursday at 7 PM at our Berwick location.
Pastor Justin and Mary Lee have a heart for people and a deep love for serving God. Their ministry began at The Pentecostals of Lafayette, Pastor Lee’s home church, where they served under Bishop Derald Weber in many areas of ministry. From there, they followed God’s leading to Dallas, TX, where they served as Outreach Pastors at The Life Church under Pastor Shay Mann.
In 2019, the Lord called them to Morgan City, and Pastor Lee became the pastor of New Life Tabernacle of Morgan City. Then, in 2023, when Berwick First United Pentecostal Church and New Life of Morgan City merged as one congregation, Pastor Lee was blessed to be elected pastor of what is now Tri-City Pentecostals.
Pastor Justin and Mary are grateful to raise their three boys in Morgan City and the surrounding area, a place they truly call home. They have a passion for people, a love for their community, and a vision to see Tri-City Pentecostals grow into a strong, healthy church that shines the love of Jesus.
